In a unexpected collaboration that breaks usual predictions, the game developer has announced an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.

According to the official statement, "A mysterious encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where whispers of banned practices and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the shadows." The narrative presents a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a hidden sect.

The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave.
